Where It Began

"Say Yes! To Drug-Free Neighborhoods" positive message was created by Michael Jordan, an Oakland, California native who has taken to training communities about the dangers of drugs and violence. The "SAY YES!" cause was born in 1994 while Mr. Jordan was sentenced by the courts to a long-term treatment center in Fresno, California (2-year program). His turn to contribute to society came when he decided to give back to the community. He began positively using the trade that almost ruined his life: fighting drugs and helping others in the community to identify the dangers they pose. Mr. Jordan continues promoting safer neighborhoods with the latest project "Drug Identification & What you NEED to know about drugs."

In addition to the Drug Identification and What you NEED to know about drugs training, Michael has also developed a series of classes and workshops for children, youth, and adults focused on bullying: physical, emotional, and internet violence awareness and prevention. These age-appropriate classes and workshops focus on awareness and prevention of physical, emotional, and internet bullying, as well as effective methods of addressing active examples of bullying, and steps for minimizing the trauma experienced by both victims and bullies.
